Pete (Had BCIR Surgery in May 1997)
I spent fifteen days in the hospital. The day after my wife and I flew home, I went into the office for about an hour just because I wanted to catch up on some things. I felt so much better after this surgery than other surgeries I had in the past. The recovery time for me was much quicker.
The care I received at SouthPointe was wonderful. The nursing staff was phenomenal and specifically trained to handle people who have had this surgery.
Soon after the operation, I was handling most of my own needs. I knew I had made the decision that was right for me.
"Traveling 500 miles to have the surgery, we were without the closeness of our family and friends but the staff made me feel very welcomed. They provided me with anything and everything. I am a registered nurse, but I was very concerned about the outcome of the surgery and how much support we would be given once we were home.
"Everything has been great and we have always had wonderful support from Dr. Gaskin and all the staff at SouthPointe." Cindi, Pete's wife
